The middle humbucker pickup has been added to the bass. There is a hole next to the middle humbucker, a small screw in the side of the body, a small hole in the side of the neck and a small hole in the side of the bridge. There is some finish crazing on the front and back. There is a serial number stamped extremely lightly on the back of the headstock that appears to be C354.     The 500/1 featured a hollow body, was light weight and had a 30" scale. The back and sides were made of laminated flamed maple with a laminated spruce top. The fret board was made from Brazilian or Indian rosewood and had 20 frets.
